Dr. Emre Özel is the founder of RespubLit.ai. Drawing on a deep background in science management and research governance, he has spent years designing and supporting peer review and research evaluation processes across regional, national, and European funding programs.

He holds a PhD in Economics and Human Rights from the University of Strasbourg. His academic work brings together ethics, economic thought, the economics of science and innovation, and research policy, with a particular focus on understanding how structural factors influence funding outcomes.

Today he channels that expertise into developing advanced AI driven tools for research evaluation. His work focuses on improving reviewer selection, assessing review quality, and making peer review workflows significantly more efficient, transparent, and reliable. Beyond his technical work, he remains a strong advocate for open science, free software, and human centered innovation in research governance.
